Terms of Service

1. Agreement and Duration

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Saroxai Limited's software and iOS apps — Saroxai Property Hub and Saroxai Clerk — together with any related web services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account, subscribing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you are under 18, you must have the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian. If you represent a business, you confirm you have authority to bind it to these Terms.

2. Service Description

The Service consists of two separate iOS apps for property inventory and management. You choose the app that fits how you work, and each app is its own subscription:

  • Saroxai Property Hub (landlords & letting agents) — create and manage properties, inventories, tenants and owners, track documents (certificates, leases, invoices, mortgages), generate check-in and check-out reports, and request e-signatures.
  • Saroxai Clerk (professional inventory clerks) — create inventory, check-in and check-out reports as a business, brand them, and send the finished report (as a PDF or backup) to a landlord or agent client.

Your data is stored in your own private iCloud account for privacy and security; we cannot access it. The Service also:

  • Includes app access, support, and updates.
  • Requires compatible devices and internet access.
  • Does not constitute legal, financial, or property advice.
  • We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice.

3. Accounts and Registration

  • Register with accurate information and keep your login credentials secure.
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account, including by authorized users.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts for misuse or violations of these Terms.

4. Working with Clerks, Owners and Tenants

  • A standalone inventory clerk carries out inventories in their own account and sends the finished report (as a PDF or backup) to a landlord or agent, who imports it into their own account.
  • Owners and tenants may be asked to sign a report via a secure link; they do not need an account or the app in order to sign.
  • You are responsible for anyone you share reports or data with, and for having a lawful basis to share other people's personal data.
  • Sharing is limited to private use; no public distribution of reports or data.

5. Subscriptions, Fees and Billing

  • Subscription plans and fees are published in the Service or App Store listing.
  • Fees are payable in advance through Apple's App Store when you subscribe. Apple processes the payment; we do not receive or store your card details.
  • Upgrades or downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled.
  • Cancelling: cancel any time in your Apple account settings; Apple requires this to be done at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not shorten the period you have already paid for.
  • Except where the law gives you a refund right, payments already made are non-refundable. Nothing here affects your statutory rights, including any cancellation rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 or your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Purchases made through the App Store are also subject to Apple's own refund process.
  • If a renewal payment fails, your subscription may lapse until it is resolved through the App Store.

6. Free Trials

  • Where we offer a free trial, you may use the Service for the stated trial period at no charge.
  • If you start a trial through the App Store, Apple may require a payment method up front and will convert the trial into a paid subscription automatically unless you cancel before the trial ends.
  • We may withdraw a trial where it is being abused (for example, repeatedly creating accounts to extend it).

7. Intellectual Property

  • We own the Service; you get a limited, revocable license.
  • Your content (e.g., inventories) remains yours and is stored in your iCloud account.
  • You must not copy, reverse-engineer, or misuse the Service.

8. Data Handling

  • Property data is stored in the main account holder's own iCloud account; we cannot access it.
  • We process minimal account and billing data as explained in our Privacy Policy.
  • You are responsible for complying with data protection laws when sharing data with others.
  • Back up your iCloud data; we are not liable for data loss caused by Apple or your device.

9. User Obligations

  • You must use the Service lawfully and not engage in harmful, fraudulent, or abusive activity.
  • You are responsible for obtaining consents before uploading or sharing others' personal data.

10. Limitations of Liability

  • The Service is provided "as is" without warranties beyond those required by law.
  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, loss of profits, or third-party failures.
  • Our total liability is capped at the fees you paid in the previous 6 months.
  • Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or other non-excludable rights under UK law.

11. Termination

  • You may cancel at any time through your account or App Store settings.
  • We may terminate accounts for breaches of these Terms.
  • Upon termination, your access stops; export your data first.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updates will be posted here with the "Last Updated" date. Significant changes will be notified by email or in-app message.
